How do you approach Heath & Safety?
Our safety records are unmatched. Tailored Risk Assessments and COSHH risk assessments are completed prior to commencement of contracts. We conform with CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) as well as National Britannia Safe Contractor Scheme. Grafton Services have also partnered with a reputable H&S auditor / advisor who keeps the business up to date with all Health & Safety legislation.
Do staff receive training?
Without training, how can you expect your staff to perform correctly? Using industry recognised BICSc system (British Institute of Cleaning Science) all staff undergo thorough initial training on cleaning systems and H&S, also detailed site / job specific training is carried when necessary.
Managers and area supervisors carry out regular scheduled tool box talks with teams throughout the year to keep staff reminded, informed and up to date with our industry standards and requirements. Comprehensive training matrix are kept in our central records and can be inspected by clients on request.
What is CleanLink & EaziTracker?
Some monumental innovations we have recently embraced and strongly believe puts us even further ahead of our competitors is CleanLink & EaziTracker.
Grafton Management Team carry fully enabled iPads with our bespoke CleanLink software which is also integrated with the service industry recognised time and attendance systems EaziTracker software allowing Grafton Cleaning Services to streamline:

EaziTracker have formed a API (application programming interface) to the CleanLink software so that data collected by the time and attendance systems seamlessly integrate with our service management software.

Grafton Services is certified as a ‘Green Achiever’. We are in the process of switching to a fully electric vehicle fleet. We are always looking for new ways to improve our sustainability.
Where are you based?
Our headquarters are in Marylebone, but we operate throughout London and parts of the home counties.
How do you source your staff?
Grafton Services only source staff local to the area of our operations. Our established business structure means we mainly gain new staff through internal recommendation, alternatively we run recruitment campaigns in house. We never use agency staff!

We have considerable experience in handling all aspects of TUPE and always ensure that we manage the process effectively to ensure that the right staff are working to deliver to you the right service from day one.

How do you vet and check new employees?
New starters are thoroughly vetted and checked by our internal teams in accordance with current Home Office legislation. On employment photographic identification documents are verified along with original documents proving their address. Comprehensive staff records are held in our central wage records and audited annually to ensure document compatibility.
Is your staff DBS checked (formerly known as CRB / ISA checks)?
Should a client require, Grafton Cleaning Services HR department can submit employee records to our approved external vetting provider Verifile who will process all necessary check with local and international police records plus the Disclosure and Barring Service bureau. Turnaround times vary from 3-20 working days.
When will I see my Area Supervisor and how often will audits and inspections be carried out?
Our Grafton Management Team put in place a structured plan on contract start up. Our business is structured on a proactive approach. We rather schedule frequent client visits and outside of hour site inspections to avoid unexpected and unwanted surprises. Our senior management strive to deliver and achieve KPI’s and SLA’s put in place with the clients.
Grafton Cleaning Services approach its business flexibly. On contract start-up daily visits may be necessary to ensure that TUPE staff achieve our high standards. Once a stable service delivery is established, regular staff appraisals and client reviews replace the inspections.
